Join your colleagues in an active, in-person learning community where we will explore strengths-based teaching and learning and the newly revised universal design for learning (UDL) guidelines: UDL 3.0. We will explore ways to implement UDL in all modalities (in person, remote, and online).

The UDL guidelines provide a framework for optimizing teaching and learning for all people based on scientific insights into how people learn. The goal of UDL is to support our students to become independent learners who are purposeful, reflective, and resourceful. UDL offers ideas for making learning more accessible and inclusive by providing multiple means of representation of knowledge, multiple means of student engagement, and multiple means of action and expression, allowing students to show their learning in a variety of ways. It's a lot of fun!

Adjunct faculty are eligible to receive a $250 stipend for completion of a learning community. Full time faculty can submit up to 15 hours of PDUs upon completion. Please note that Dean approval is needed.

This community of practice will meet on campus from 2:30 to 4:30 pm 5 Tuesdays of spring term. Here are the meeting dates and locations:
