A cat in space with purple fire and the text: Next Level!

Interested in increasing engagement in your Canvas discussions? Wanting to move beyond the traditional "initial post and two responses" discussion board? Explore innovative options for "low threshold, high ceiling" activities that get students talking, meeting outcomes, and showing their learning! We will look at multiple examples from various disciplines.

Here's some good news: most strategies for increasing engagement in online discussions also reduce the likelihood that students will overuse generative AI to create their posts! Win/win.
