What's the Leaderboard?

You may have also noticed the Leaderboard option in Badges! Badgr describes the Leaderboard as "a privacy-aware method of allowing students to track each other's progress." This option is disabled by default, but if you enable it, students are only able to see animal nicknames on the Leaderboard, like Benevolent Beagle or Enchanting Koala, unless they manually enable the option to show their real name.

Whether or not you use the Leaderboard is up to you. eLearning's only recommendations are not to use it in combined courses (in case students don't realize they're sharing their information with more than just their own class) and, if you do use it, that you be ready to answer questions about it!
